I covered a tech conference for 2 days including event coverage and executive headshots

This website you’re on is for the photography business where I serve couples getting married in Central Florida. I have another photography business for corporate clients and non-profits looking for photography and video services. That business is called Wheelhaus Media. However, because Gracie May Photography is so old and established, I’m learning that most of my corporate clients are finding me through this website you’re on right now. So it makes sense to provide some examples of my live events photography for those looking for it.

I’m lucky to be located in Orlando where many companies nationwide come for their conventions and conferences at our many various convention centers and resorts.

In April 2023, Wheelhaus covered a 2-day conference for a tech company called Conga. We covered main stage talks, celebrity keynotes, breakout sessions, and extracurricular events in both photography and video.

One of the most exciting parts of being the photographer for this event was covering the keynote talk from Olympian snowboarder, NYT best-selling author, Oprah guest, TED speaker, and all-around inspirational human Amy Purdy. She loved my work and hired Wheelhaus to cover more of her events to create a stock of photography and promotional video. So much fun!

When an organization is distributed across the country, there are often only a few opportunities to get the whole executive team in one place. So conferences like this can be a great opportunity to refresh the team’s headshots in a way that makes them consistent and uniform. This means when the photos appear together on a website, they are cohesive. I also did a headshot for Amy while I had the studio set up in a conference room.
