“You raise the bar every year. I can’t remember where I first saw your pictures but I am so so glad that I did.” -Helen
These. Kids. I love em. I first photographed this gang in the Hundred Acre Woods back in 2011 (here). Then again in bluebells the year after and this year I did Aime in the lavender. It’s so amazing to watch these kids grow up in front of my camera. We’re going to have to keep finding new places and ways to photograph then which is a fun challenge.
So today (yes, today!) we had their session in Littlehampton, West Sussex. Featured in these images is the well known beach huts of Littlehampton, the backside of the beach cafe and the twisty turny worlds-longest-bench. It was a beautifully windy and grey day (the best light!) and James, Ben and Amie were in top form.
I have to share one observation I had about these three is that rather than push away from each other like some siblings do, they gravitate towards each other. They’re very hands-on and affectionate in a way that I wish we would see more. Your parents tell you that someday you’ll be best friends and whatnot, but to see these kids genuinely loving each other and having fun together is really really uplifting.
