Hampshire Wedding Photographer – Brighton Engagement Session

Will & Miriam get married on 20th July here in Hampshire, but we took their engagement session to Brighton on a bright, happy summer day. It was absolutely heaving with people and I thought ‘oh no how will we get alone?!’ but in the end, I decided to use them as a part of the story. I just love the images of Miriam & Will standing in a crowd of people, completely unaware of anyone else except eachother.

The vibes in Brighton are so inspirational. When Will & Miriam were kissing in the middle of the crowded road, there were buskers singing Somewhere Over the Rainbow. It was perfect.

We walked around for the afternoon, stopping here and there. We hit the Pier, the Royal Pavillion palace, even the library! There are some images here which we could never recreate. Like the one in the corridor of pillars at the palace…there was a voice over the loudspeaker which we were paying no attention to. In the end, it was security telling us we were standing in an alarmed area and to move on. But it was worth it because that shot is so beautiful – the architecture there is so amazing.

And then there was the moment where a white dove flew into the shot (try to find it!) What a beautiful little turn of serendipity that was.

I’m looking forward to Will & Miriam’s wedding more than ever, now. But first, enjoy their engagement session!

P.S. You can see behind the scenes on this session here.
