Winter Park senior photos at Park Ave CDs and Stardust Coffee

This session was shot by GMP founder and Principal Photographer Elizabeth Millar

Lyla had a vision for her grad session in downtown Winter Park and at her favorite haunts: Stardust Coffee and Park Ave CDs

When Lyla’s mom reached out, she said they wanted to work with me after seeing Liberty’s Bookworm Senior Session with Vintage Vibes that I shot in a bookstore and at my home in my music listening room. I really love doing senior photos that aren’t the typical type of thing you often see for these sessions.

I would call sessions like this “lifestyle” photography and it’s very much about grabbing people in their natural habitat doing things they normally do whether there’s a camera there or not. For Lyla, that’s browsing a record store (Park Ave CDs) and grabbing a coffee and some reading time at Stardust. We also hit Central Park and did some shots in her cap & gown.

I shot mostly on my digital camera with some key shots on film. I love the film shots inside the Stardust photo booth especially. They have a (non working) old school film photo booth that’s at least a lot of fun for photos. I think a couple’s session in there would be really cute :)

Thank you for having me, Lyla! And best wishes for all your adventures ahead.
