Because I’m also an officiant, I both married and photographed Ben & Stephanie during their truly secret Orlando elopement at Leu Gardens.

So many couples come to Orlando from the UK to get married. This week, I served two couples from Scotland and this couple from Wales.

When I say that Ben & Stephanie’s Orlando elopement at Leu Gardens was a “truly secret” elopement, I mean it. They were visiting Orlando from Wales with their parents and baby and they literally snuck out in wedding clothes to meet me and get married.

I’m torn because I think it’s beautiful to share this most important day with friends and family and make your love known to the world. But also…I mean…how sweet is this secret elopement? I also love the idea of a couple that gets married their own way and includes everyone else later on.

I met them at Leu Gardens as soon as they opened at 9am but, damn, if it wasn’t already boiling hot. During the summer in Florida, I work fast to get all of your photos in the can inside of an hour, especially when you’re not used to Florida summers.

I officiated the marriage of Ben & Stephanie while taking their photos which is always so much fun for this overachiever 🏆
