Elizabeth and Jake eloped at downtown Deland’s Volusia County Courthouse in the autumn

Elizabeth and Jake came to Florida to scout locations for their wedding and said “what the hell let’s just do it now”. So I joined them at the Volusia County courthouse in downtown Deland to help them celebrate and capture it for always.

Something I love about smaller town courthouses is that they will often give you the option of getting married outside. This can take something that might look a bit bureaucratic and make it a bit more organic and fresh.

After their outdoor ceremony, we adventured around downtown Deland hitting not only my tried and true spots for photos, but new ones we discovered on our adventures.

These adventures included tacos. TACOS! This was sweet because Jake mentioned hankering for tacos just before we happened upon a taco truck so it was meant to be 🌮 💍
