Every wedding I do makes me so happy. I’m never happier than when I have my camera in my hand. But some weddings make my face hurt and this was one of them.

When I was editing Alyssa & Kharis’ courthouse wedding at Starbucks, someone said to me “what are you looking at!?” I was smiling like a lunatic at my computer. Smiling until my face hurt. I’m doing it again right now writing this 🥹

I’ve NEVER seen someone as happy as Alyssa waiting to get a first glimpse of her wife-to-be. Everything about Alyssa was vibrating with excited energy. And I can see why. As soon as Kharis tapped her on the shoulder, it was an explosion of love and joy and heat that stayed with them throughout our whole time together and, no doubt, their life until death do they part.

Let’s talk about their friend group. Alyssa & Kharis’ friends were so locked in and honestly I’ve never seen a crew more happy for their friends as this one.

Get yourself some friends who will cry when you cry and laugh when you laugh.

After their first look, we headed into the courthouse for their ceremony and then back out again for family photos and some time together photographing them as a newly married couple.
