Not every courthouse wedding is a secret elopement. It can be a wonderful option if you have a small party of guests.
Lallaaisha and Joc got married just before Christmas at the courthouse in downtown Orlando. They took my advice and set their appointment at the end of the day on a Friday which is always my suggestion when I’m given the opportunity to weigh in. I love late on a Friday because most courthouse business is taken care of and it’s a ghost town. After the ceremony, there’s hardly anyone milling around outside and the light is beautiful.
Lallaaisha did a great job telling me their story in the pre-shoot questionnaire: “We met 5 years ago working overseas. If you were to tell me back then that I was going to hop on a plane to take a job 6,000 miles away, let alone meet the love of my life, I would’ve laughed in your face and said ‘yeah right’. We balance each other out; he is my left and I his right. He’s cool, calm, and collected. I’m more of a social butterfly! We both love to travel and get dressed up for any occasion. All in all, I’ve got him, he’s got me, and that’s all we need.”
Lallaaisha & Joc had a great group of family with them. They were fun, supportive, and up for shenanigans with champagne and confetti which always makes for upbeat, joyful group photos.
Thank you so much for having us, Lallaaisha & Joc. It was our pleasure!
