Brittany and Ricardo had their micro wedding at Maggiano’s Little Italy in the heart of Orlando’s tourist area, International Drive
Note: this couple requested my warm and earthy editing style
Brittany and Ricardo had me start a bit earlier than some micro wedding couples do—I met them both at their individual getting ready spots which were apartments very close in proximity. I captured some staged getting ready for Ricardo who was already ready when I arrived. And then I zoomed over to where the ladies were getting ready, hanging out, and celebrating with shots 🥂
I then headed to Maggiano’s Little Italy which is a restaurant in Orlando’s busiest tourist zone—International Drive. I think I edited hundreds of people out of the background of their outdoor photos.
I’ve done a few weddings at Maggiano’s now and it’s a great option for a micro wedding with great food, a dedicated bar, and room to party.
This is the first couple I’ve worked with who had two separate rooms booked: one for the ceremony and one for the reception. All other couples have gotten married and partied in the same room. I liked this method a lot because it created an opportunity to dress a whole room for the ceremony in a way that took something micro and made it feel a bit more traditional and grand.
After their ceremony and group photos outside, we spent half an hour in the immediate area around the restaurant which is called Pointe Orlando. It took a lot of work to capture photos at just the right second so that everything (and everyone) in the background could be removed well. You’d never know it was peak tourist season!
Thank you so much for having me, Brittany and Ricardo. You were awesome. xx
