Jess + Anthony wed just a few days after Christmas in the quiet little village of Sonning on Thames in Berkshire. It’s a perfect area for London commuters and just next door to the Great House Hotel is the new home of George Clooney and wife Amal Alamuddin.
The room where Jess got ready with her gals was still adorned with Christmas lights and decorations – the whole of the hotel was, for that matter! Christmas trees and roaring fires kept the Christmassy feeling alive.
The air was frosty and the icy grass crunched under our feet as my second photographer, Mark, and I ventured to find a serene place to photograph Jess’ beautiful dress.
Jess + Anthony said their vows at The Parish Church of St. Andrew. It was stunning with the sun rising and the light inside was delicious.
Doesn’t Jess look so beautiful here arriving at the church? *sigh*
Inside the church, the Christmas tree all lit up made for such a cozy, warm and cheerful ambiance. It’s no wonder people get married at Christmas! As my first Christmas wedding, I can see now why people would want to combine the jubilant feeling of a wedding with the cozy charm of Christmas.
There aren’t enough words to say about how wonderful this Christmas wedding was. And just imagine…only 324 more sleeps till next Christmas!
