“You really managed to capture the whole day and remind us what amazing friends and family we have who love us.” -Siobhan
I. LOVE. Manor Barn. It’s one of the most pristine barn venues in the area and I get a little giddy when I know I get to shoot there again. This summer, it was all about Matt and Siobhan. And she looked like a 1920’s Snow White – SO incredibly beautiful.
Siobhan got ready at the most adorable Maple Inn in Buriton. It’s under new management and has been redecorated so bright, airy. Perfect for photography. The rooms are tiny but cleverly designed. The light is beautiful.
Siobhan had her most beloved ladies with her and I caught so much loveliness happening between them all. It’s a kind of strange and wonderful part of my job; I get to dip and and out of people’s lives on one of their most defining days. I get to witness such unreserved emotion. The bonds people share. Me, a total stranger. A very lucky stranger.
Matt and his guys got ready in their home and my associate photographer Mark covered this. It’s rather lovely how, when you view all of them together, you can see how the guys and the gals photos look like they belong together. The brightness, the soft light. I love how it all comes together as one big beautiful story.
Both Matt & Siobhan walked to St. Mary’s Church which is perfectly positioned right next to the barn. The ceremony was beautiful and after, they simply walked through a shower of confetti and -viola!- they were at the Manor Barn.
The rest of the day was a luscious summer’s day of BBQs, beers and lawn games. So much laughter. SO much sunshine.
As always, the highlight of my day was getting to photograph Matt & Siobhan on their own which happened in the field behind the barn. This is truly the perfect location – from getting ready through to the first dance, every moment is within a short walk from the next.
I hope you enjoy the images of Matt & Siobhan’s wedding day story!
