Hampshire Wedding Photography // A Vineyard. A bike. A V-Dub.

“You were the best and easiest decision of our whole wedding.”-Josh + Heather

You met Josh & Heather a while back when I introduced them via their adorable forest and campfire engagement session. They got married a couple of weeks ago and had their reception in a vineyard. They drove in a gloriously restored VW van and the whole day was marked with splashes of teal. Even the church interior (which wasn’t intentional but worked perfectly).

Josh and Heather worked incredibly hard planning and building elements from scratch for their day like funfair games and a photo booth. Josh is the most hands-on groom I’ve ever worked with and he built their photo booth from scratch with a wallpapered wall (skirting board and everything!) and set his camera up with a remote so even kids who couldn’t reach could take pictures of each other.

“Most of all, we just wanted people to have fun.” -Josh + Heather

We basically wanted a wedding that would be fun for everyone and that it would be remembered as just a really fun and joyful day. Kids are the life of most celebrations and we loved the fact that at the vineyard there was so much space for them to run around and be free to do what they wanted. The idea of the jazz trio under the tree came from just wanting to fill the day with great music, and the setting of the natural amphitheatre seemed perfect…what better way to greet people than with some soothing jazz tones and a glass of Pimm’s. We just wish it could have lasted an entire weekend!”

There was a jazz band under a tree, games and races and a hog roast at night. With storms and flooding the day before and the day after, their beautiful Saturday wedding was sandwiched in perfectly. It was a truly incredible day and I’m so lucky to have been a part of it.

Note: the Pashley bike in the photos is mine and available for your session or wedding – just ask!
