“Elizabeth, AMAZING!!!!!! It captures the day absolutely perfectly and brought a tear to my eye! Thank you to you and you’re team, you’re all brilliant! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!” -Jennifer
We are uber blessed to have gotten to be Jen & Andy’s wedding photographers and filmmakers. Their wedding in the heart of the City of London was classy and elegant and perfectly executed in every way.
For my fellow Yanks, here’s a little thing about The City of London: The City of London is a little 1 mile square city and county all of its own inside of London. It’s the hub of the business and financial world of London and only have 7000 people actually living in it. Yet this is where Jen grew up so it was wonderful to start the day photographing the gals getting ready in her family home.
Because the City of London is so small and they have to fit a lot of stuff in it, the houses are very skinny and tall. In fact, in Jen’s house there were 8 floors and flights of stairs! Needless to say we can call this “legs day for Elizabeth”.
Jen & Andy walked to the church and said their vows at the St. Lawrence Jewry which was right next to the London Guildhall where the reception took place. I’m very proud to say that although the Jewry doesn’t allow photographers to move in the ceremony, we were able to negotiate some special considerations and images like the one below of Jen & Andy stealing a glance at the front of the church are very rare indeed (in that location).
The Guildhall London is a very large, very grand and very pristine place and it was an absolute pleasure to get to work there. My favourite part of the day (as per usual) is when I get to steal my couple for 20ish minutes to take photos somewhere special. This is usually the only time in the day when my couples get away from the crowd so they’ve told me that it’s a special memory from their day.
Because the City of London is so quiet on the weekends, we got to walk around in the middle of the road which was a real treat and very fun to photograph.
Thank you Jen & Andy for allowing me to be your photographer.
