Suffolk Wedding Photography // Rustic Sudbury Affair with Indian flourishes

“I don’t know how you guys did it but you so beautifully captured the raw emotion of the day. I wondered if you had seen the moments I saw and was trying so hard to keep in my memory. Thank you, thank you for surpassing all my hopes.” -Zoe

Before you see the story of their wedding, check out Zoe & Joe’s engagement session here. Chickens, rifles, garlic…we had it all!

When I arrived at the house where Zoe was getting ready for her wedding day, I had a most unexpected and incredible rush of emotion and instant inspiration. The light, the grounds, the pond (!). Even the greenhouse made my heart pitter patter. It was a most luscious start to a most spectacular day.

I covered Zoe getting ready at home while Mark (my associate photographer) hung out with the guys for the day. I happen to have two beautiful boys of my own and I dream of their wedding day some day just the same as a I may dream for a daughter’s wedding day. The wedding day is every bit as important for grooms as for brides and so I always have a photographer there with the groom.

Zoe & Joe’s families are a very international group and so they brought Indian, Greek and English style and flair together with such impeccable class. The traditional English marquee on one side, Indian one on the other. The olive trees on the table. It was just done so beautifully well.

The highlight of the photography for me was when I took them off for their special (and only) moment alone. This field was behind the house. The light was perfect, Zoe & Joe were so into each other. It was just…*sigh*
