Rachel & Ed’s bright and beautiful Leu Gardens micro wedding
Quite often, “micro wedding” means something more like an elopement or a courthouse wedding. However, Rachel & Ed’s Leu Gardens micro wedding was truly that: a tiny version of a wedding. A short getting ready period, a small guest list, and a micro ceremony. All packed into 2 hours.
One of the things I miss about shooting big weddings is covering the bride getting ready. It’s a documentary style photographer’s dream come true. So much joy, so many things happening, and totally ignoring me. I truly get to be a fly on the wall.
Rachel & Ed’s photography started with their time in the bride & groom’s getting ready suites inside the main building. There are other bride/groom suites inside of tiny buildings near the Idea Garden in the center of Leu Gardens. I much prefer the rooms in the main building.
It was so extremely hot that day in May that our cameras were overheating and everyone was melting. But as soon as Rachel walked down the aisle, it was easy to ignore the heat and get engrossed in the love of these two making the most important promise of their lives.
Thank you so much for having us, Rachel & Ed. 📸 💛
