For years, I've been covering elopements and micro weddings at the Maitland Art & History Center. It's Orlando's only National Historic Landmark, recognized for its unique 1937 Mayan Revival-style architecture, hand-carved concrete sculptures, and lush, romantic courtyards.

I'm Elizabeth Millar
I photographed my first wedding on a borrowed camera in 2008 and spent the next decade doing large elite weddings in Europe.
I now bring this professionalism and class to weddings of any size and pride myself on making budget conscious weddings look expensive.
I've done over 600 traditional and micro weddings and 300 elopements in the courthouses of Central Florida.
I'm ordained to officiate marriages and recommend only using me for this during elopements with just yourselves or very few guests.

A. Yes the entire grounds are available to you for your photos regardless of where you choose to reserve for your wedding ceremony.
A. Having done many shoots here, I can say that there isn't another venue or location in Central Florida that is more sensitive to changes in light than the Maitland Art & History Center. There are times of day where the chapel is an absolute sun trap and times where one side is in full sun and the other side in full shade. There are times in the West Garden where the dappled light coming through the trees will be not-so-great in your photos. I can show you examples of different times of the day at different times of the year when you enquire with me for your wedding or photo session and make a recommendation for the best time. That said, the most affordable micro wedding and elopement packages only take place 9-11am so based on the time of year, I can make a recommendation about which area would be best for lighting. And remember that you have access to the whole place anyway so we can shoot everywhere!
You need to get a license sometime before your elopement (up to 60 days). There are ways to get this done without needing to visit a courthouse and, yes, international couples can take advantage of this, too!
