Kelly Park is a dream for capturing an "Old Florida" aesthetic, characterized by its high-clarity water and dramatic limestone formations. The interplay of light filtering through the dense canopy creates a soft, dappled effect that is ideal for nature and lifestyle portraits.

I'm Elizabeth Millar
I photographed my first wedding on a borrowed camera in 2008 and spent the next decade doing large elite weddings in Europe.
I now bring this professionalism and class to weddings of any size and pride myself on making budget conscious weddings look expensive.
I've done over 600 traditional and micro weddings and 300 elopements in the courthouses of Central Florida.
I'm ordained to officiate marriages and recommend only using me for this during elopements with just yourselves or very few guests.
A. Getting married at Kelly Park - Rock Springs is one of the most budget-friendly options in Central Florida, as the park currently does not charge a formal "wedding permit" fee for small, simple ceremonies. You simply pay $3 per car to enter the park.
A. Winter and Fall (October through February) are the absolute best times of year. While it might seem like this is obvious because of Florida weather, the main reason is that during peak seasons (March-September) often have people lining up to get in long before dawn and they reach capacity very early. This means your guests, officiant, and photographer will probably not make it in but also, there will be hundreds of people in the area where these activities take place.
A. While the park is relaxed for elopements of under 10 people, search data shows that larger groups (over 10–15) often get flagged by rangers. For anything larger, you are required to rent a pavilion and ensure you aren't blocking public access.
A. There are a couple excellent places for iconic photos at Kelly Park. First and most popular, the big flat rock at the spring head (where people launch into the river) is the spot you most commonly see in photos at Kelly Park. This is where we do marriage ceremonies and this is why getting married or having a photo session during peak season isn't a good idea—hundreds of people are launching from that spot per hour. The other place is actually in the water. A few brave souls have gotten in the water in their wedding clothing and it makes for some stunning photos.
A. Yes. Even if you are getting married, your guests must be in the park before it hits capacity. There is no "VIP entry" for wedding guests. If you rent a pavilion, this gives a certain number of cars guaranteed access before noon, but that doesn't address the hundreds of people who will be in and around your photos! So, consider getting married or having your Kelly Park photo session during off-peak months.
You need to get a license sometime before your elopement (up to 60 days). There are ways to get this done without needing to visit a courthouse and, yes, international couples can take advantage of this, too!
