It was such a joy to be involved in Cora & Jen’s micro wedding at Canvas Restaurant in Lake Nona

I first started talking to Cora & Jen back in April when they were planning a private elopement with just the three of us. As these things sometimes do, it turned into a micro wedding with friends and family in attendance. It’s not uncommon for this to happen. In the process of hashing it all out with me, couples start to really picture their day (pardon the pun) and when they do that, sometimes there’s a hole where family and friends would normally be. And once you start thinking about inviting friends, well now you need a venue and you’ll want to feed them. And wham bam now you have a micro wedding!

This is my second micro wedding at Canvas in Lake Nona. Apart from the great food, drinks, and atmosphere at Canvas, there’s a Tom Fruin art installation called The Glass House and this is where couples often have their vows. This couple had their candlelit dinner there too.

We started with a first look in the Lake Nona town center. That colorful wall is called Prismatic. I’ve shot there a few times before and this is the first time I was told that we needed to have permission from Tavistock, the developer of Lake Nona. So if anyone wants to shoot there with me again, we’ll need to do that.

So, after we were told that we needed to scoot, we headed to Canvas where we did the rest of their Mrs & Mrs photos and then the ceremony and champagne spray. All in all, it was a spectacular result after much toing and froing about what we were going to do for this session. I think it all ended up exactly as it should have.
Thank you for having me, Cora & Jen! 💛 📸
