Whether it's a sunrise elopement, a sunset elopement, or a micro wedding with guests, I can partner with you to capture your wedding or elopement at Kraft Azalea Garden.
Kraft Azalea Garden in Winter Park is a 5 acre waterfront park known as a serene "secret garden" on Lake Maitland. It features massive cypress trees, a rare banyan tree, and vibrant azaleas that bloom in late winter/early spring. It also features a structure called the Exedra Monument where many couples enjoy getting engaged or married.

I'm Elizabeth Millar
I photographed my first wedding on a borrowed camera in 2008 and spent the next decade doing large elite weddings in Europe.
I now bring this professionalism and class to weddings of any size and pride myself on making budget conscious weddings look expensive.
I've done over 500 traditional and micro weddings and 300 elopements in the courthouses of Central Florida.
I'm ordained to officiate marriages and recommend only using me for this during elopements with just yourselves or very few guests.
A. There are two options for this. For elopements where it's just us and up to 4 guests, you can choose to reserve the exedra monument for 2 hours for $600 (plus a refundable security deposit) or you can have me obtain a general photo session permit from the City of Winter Park for $75. This doesn't guarantee that you'll be able to use the monument in your photos, but if it's not already reserved by someone else, we can use it.
For micro weddings with more than 4-20 guests, the City of Winter Park requires the event booking to reserve the monument.
A. If you have reserved the monument for 2 hours with the City of Winter Park, you can decorate with florals, candles, and anything that doesn't deface the monument or involve litter (like throwing fake petals)
A. Yes absolutely and it's a small thing that can really elevate your experience, even if it's just the two of you. I've had violinists, saxophone players, and acoustic guitarists there for elopements or micro weddings and they even stick around for your session which can really help set the tone.
A. No it is standing room only except for guests with disabilities.
A. One of the best things about Kraft Azalea Garden is that there is a lot of open shade to shield us from the sun at all times of the day. Sunset and sunrise are both extremely beautiful. Sunset can see the park overrun with photographers and photo sessions but we have it almost completely to ourselves at sunrise and in my opinion, the sunrise light is superior to sunset.
A. You must book your wedding through The City of Winter Park which gives you exclusive access to the exedra monument for 2 hours and has a hard limit of 20 guests including the couple, photographer, and officiant. If your group is larger, the city will not issue a permit and may ask you to leave (which I have seen happen before).
A. Kraft Azalea has no indoor backup. If it rains, your options are to bring umbrellas or coordinate a backup plan at a nearby restaurant or hotel. If I don't have another session straight after, I have no problem waiting it out in my car. In my 17 years as a photographer, rain has never ruined a wedding or photo session of mine.
You need to get a license sometime before your elopement (up to 60 days). There are ways to get this done without needing to visit a courthouse and, yes, international couples can take advantage of this, too!
