Bright summer UK couple’s elopement at Kraft Azalea Garden in Winter Park

Chloe and Callum are a couple from the UK who eloped with me officiating at one of Central Florida’s most popular photography hot spots—Kraft Azalea Garden in Winter Park. While most of my UK couples elope at the Orlando courthouse, these two had me get the Kraft Azalea photography permit and meet them with my second shooter, Angelina, to marry and photograph them on this hot hot summer day in July.

They decided to elope during their Orlando holiday rather than get married back home because they wanted a day that was fully about them that prioritized meaningful moments over big gestures without the stress or pressure of a traditional wedding. When I asked them to tell me about themselves, they said, “We’re laid-back and a little nerdy. We care most about capturing the emotion of the day, the quiet in-between moments, the laughter, the nerves, and the joy. We’re all about natural, candid shots that reflect how we actually feel.”

Having been there in person myself, I can tell you that these images so accurately captured the feeling of their elopement from the summer light to the bright freshness of the garden on this beautiful sunny day.

Kraft Azalea is an incredible spot for so many reasons but one of my favorites is the fact that, no matter the time of the day or intensity of the sun, you can find pockets of open shade and areas to photograph with joy.
