Christopher and Heidi are a young couple who I married and photographed in downtown Winter Park.
Christopher and Heidi are the second couple of mine who has gone with a theme to honor a Pixar short that meant a lot to them. Last year, Vanessa and Gary styled themselves for their Pixar’s UP theme elopement at the Orlando courthouse.
For this elopement, Christopher and Heidi styled themselves after the Academy Award Nominated Pixar short called Paperman. More on that later.

We started at the Rollins College campus and then headed to the Park Ave area of downtown Winter Park where we found a perfect little spot for me to marry them.

After that, we explored the area for a photo session featuring murals, trains, and so many spring blossoms. We had the best weather, glowy sunshine and everything they hoped for.
A fun challenge they gave me was to incorporate their favorite Pixar Short: Paperman. In Paperman, an office worker meets the girl of his dreams at a train station and uses a fleet of paper airplanes to get her attention. And this is one of the reasons we chose that area of Winter Park…because there’s a train station!

I went early to get acquainted with the train schedule so I could have them in just the right spot for when the train blew through behind them to recreate the most popular frame (and cover art) for the short. I even brought a paper plane to use in their ring shots.
