After shooting 120+ weddings at Central Florida’s various courthouses, my first micro wedding a the Osceola County Courthouse was such a joy.

Osceola County is one of the few courthouses from Tampa to Orlando that I hadn’t yet done a wedding at. So I was excited when I finally got a request to meet Michelle & Alek to celebrate their marriage with their nearest and dearest.

It was an excellent experience for a few reasons. The Osceola County Courthouse in Kissimmee, an Orlando suburb, is a beautiful courthouse. They’re very much set up for marriages and I can now say that I’ve discovered the best courthouse wedding ceremony room in Central Florida. It’s large enough for a few guests and the photographer to move around.

There are loads of windows so the natural light is perfect for photos. And the officiant was very kind and wanted to make it a unique experience for Alek & Michelle. They were able to walk down the aisle to music if desired and were invited to do their own vows.

They opted for a quick ceremony and wanted to do their vows during our photo time outdoors. We found a private spot and did those at the old courthouse right across the street from the one where business happens.

Almost all of the photos you see from the group and Mr & Mrs photos were taken at the old courthouse. It’s important to note that I did a lot of editing to make the front elevation of the old courthouse better for photos. There’s a lamp pole and large tree branch in front of the building that I removed. This is important for people to know so you’re not surprised when you get there! You’ll want a photographer who is skilled at object removal.
I’m so glad that Michelle & Alek found me and that I got to shoot my first wedding at the Osceola County Courthouse 📸 💛
