Post-wedding shoot with paparazzi vibes

It doesn’t need to be your wedding day—You can have a wedding photo session anytime you want. Especially if you’ve been secretly married for months!

Just wow. I’m seriously the luckiest photographer with the best clients. Miriah and Matt found me when they were looking for a photographer who could help them create the images they would use to announce their marriage.

They wanted the attitude of Vegas and the smoke of Lana Del Rey. I thought they also needed the casual hotness of getting caught out by a paparazzo like celebs trying to get hitched secretly but, damn, if it isn’t just so hard being famous.

There are several ingredients involved in delivering all of the above:

  1. Movement and lots of it
  2. Very little looking at the camera and if you do, it better be full of sass
  3. Sexy props (I rented that Porsche)
  4. The right styling
  5. Moody light
  6. Wind
  7. Flash flash flash and point it straight at them

We were meant to start shooting at 4pm but being a finicky artist, I had us wait until the light was perfect. In the end, I captured all of these inside of an hour. The editing required for the style we were going for needed to be dusky colors, filmy grain, and contrasty black and whites.

I say this with every session I post, but I just feel so grateful that I get to do this every day. They say, “Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life”. I’d rephrase that to, “Choose a job you love and you’ll want to work every day of your life.”

Thank you, Miriah & Matt, for trusting me with your vision I had so much fun bringing it to life with you. 📸 💛
