UK Couple’s Jam Hot Winter Park Courthouse Elopement

This session was shot by GMP founder and Principal Photographer Elizabeth Millar

The Winter Park Clerk of Courts is a great option for a Central Florida courthouse wedding, especially if you want a fun aesthetic for your photos.

Sarah and Liam are a Scottish couple who got married while in Orlando for their Disney holiday. Many of my couples are here from the UK and many of those couples are from Scotland. They usually get married at the downtown Orlando courthouse, but the ones who do a bit of research (often involving this page where I’ve reviewed the most popular Central Florida Courthouses) discover that there are many different clerks offices offering many different looks and vibes to choose from.

Sarah and Liam chose to get married at the Winter Park courthouse which, at the time, had been open for just a few weeks. It’s a new, modern building in a part of town known for excellent photography locations.

They requested my warm and fresh editing style and I think that was a great choice for all the warm colors inside this building and in the area they chose for their photo shoot—Hannibal Square.

Something unique about choosing the Winter Park courthouse is that, because there aren’t places for photos around the building itself, we have no choice but to get in the car and head to a selected location for your session.

Usually, a second location triggers a fee on my end, but since we don’t have a choice, this is the only courthouse where you have the option of choosing a second location for photos. You can see a list of locations available on this page.

During their session in Hannibal Square, we hit some iconic spots in the area and ended with Cokes a bag of fries at Jam Hot Chicken which is an excellent Nashville hot chicken place if that’s your kind of thing!

Thank you so much for having me, Sarah and Liam. You were so fun to work with and I love these photos so so much.
