Autumn Micro Wedding at the Maitland Art & History Museum

Loralei & Logan came all the way from Alabama for their micro wedding at the Maitland Art & History Museum. I hung out with them for two hours to cover their ceremony, group shots, and Mr/Mrs photos.

Loralei hired me a few months ahead of their micro wedding at the Maitland Art & History Museum. This is my third wedding there and, as ever, it’s just the most stunning location any time of year.

I have to say, though, I wasn’t crazy about the area chosen for their ceremony. I would highly recommend choosing the Aztec-themed enclave for your ceremony. Because it’s enclosed and sheltered, the light is more even and controlled. The light in the area where Loralei & Logan got married was very spotty with bright spots and dark shadows and this made it difficult to photograph.

Apart from that, just WOW the light was stunning. They were blessed with the most beautiful day of the year so far. The autumn light was juicy. The air was fresh and free from the muggy humidity that plagues Florida for most of the year.

Thank you so much for having me, Loralei and Logan!
