Photographing Patty & Jake’s Cypress Grove Estate House micro wedding was so enjoyable I totally forgot this is my “job”
Style notes: Patty & Jake requested my warm & earthy editing style. Their Pinterest board was heavy on filmstock vibes so I gave them a gallery of 187 images heavy on warmth and film grain.
Jake and Patty met each other working in an emergency department. One night after their shift, they grabbed a drink together, and the rest is history! In their pre-wedding questionnaire, Patty wrote, “Those who know us well know we love to have a good time, joke around and be silly. I definitely hope to capture this side of our personalities on our wedding day as it really is such a huge part of who we are.” I hope I did them proud!
While I’ve shot many sessions at Cypress Grove Park, this was my first time shooting at the on-property estate house and it didn’t disappoint. It’s an excellently preserved 1925 colonial style home that has set the scene for many weddings and I hope to do more soon!
Thank you for having me, Patty & Jake it was so completely my pleasure 📸 💛
