Piece of cake elopement at the Orange County Courthouse

Odessia and Joshua’s first elopement was in Iceland, but to make things easier legally, they did it a second time stateside at the Orlando Courthouse and I got to join them!

“To marry internationally is more work to transfer the marriage license over, so we decided to just go to the courthouse when we get back from our honeymoon. But since this only happens once, we wanted it documented! Especially since it will be family’s first time actually seeing us in our wedding outfits” – Odessia & Joshua

Odessia & Joshua provided great guidance about what they loved about my work and wanted to see in their photos. Specifically, the paparazzi style B&Ws and images with movement and forward momentum.

They brought a most delicious cake to share with their family (and me!) outside the courthouse and that ended up being a fun set of photos. There really are no rules about how these things have to happen—you truly can do it your day, your way.

Note: the cake is from Chiffon Culture in Winter Springs and I’m not going overboard when I say it’s one of the most delicious cakes I’ve ever tasted.
