“OMG!!!!!!! I’m dying over these pics thank you sooo much!!!!” -Madison
Madison’s not the only one dying over these photos. I feel so so fortunate to get these opportunities to be inspired and do something out of the ordinary.
Michael and Madison were going to have a courthouse wedding which is the thing I shoot the most often (we’re talking like 3x a week). When they shifted gear and went a little bigger to have me shoot their garden reception, I was excited, but I had no idea what I was in for until I showed up and found these two looking like an adorable Woody & Jessie, I was so excited.
The location was the Garden Club of Jacksonville right on the St. John’s River. “The Garden Club of Jacksonville was one of the four clubs founding the Florida Federation of Garden Clubs (FFGC) on April 24, 1924.”
Madison and Michael had gotten married in the weeks before this reception so there were no vows. The event was garden drinks and canapes, a dinner catered by 4 Rivers, speeches, dancing, and playing with friends and family. All told I was with the gang for four hours and I’m really proud of the final result. The golden hour magic, the rich colors, the location…it just worked so well. I hope you think so, too!
P.S. I’ve been experimenting with AI for cleaning up scenes or totally replacing the backgrounds. Madison & Michael are moving to the Carolinas, so I played with some rural scenes (although pretty sure some of the mountains AI came up with are the Rockies). It was just a lot of fun, but since people looking at the Garden Club of Jacksonville as a possible location, I’ll put a little icon in the corner of any images I enhanced with AI.
