I got married at the courthouse!

POV: Your courthouse wedding photographer got married at the courthouse, too.

I drank the Kool-Aid.

I got high on my own supply.

I practiced what I preach.

And it was SO. MUCH. FUN.

You may or may not know that we offer micro wedding videography here at Gracie May Photography and those videos are made by my talented son, Elijah. He kindly put his talents to work creating this video for us, right down to the music which was a fusion of stock music and Anthony Hopkins’ monologue from Meet Joe Black.

“Love is passion, obsession, someone you can’t live without. I say, fall head over heels. Find someone you can love like crazy and who will love you the same way back. How do you find him? Well, you forget your head, and you listen to your heart…there’s no sense living your life without this. To make the journey and not fall deeply in love, well, you haven’t lived a life at all. But you have to try, cause if you haven’t tried, you haven’t lived.” -Meet Joe Black

When we decided to get married, there really was no question where and how we’d do it. We got hitched at the Orange County Courthouse in downtown Orlando and it was just so so cool especially because I’m in that ceremony room multiple times a week watching others get married in the same exact spot. As if I needed any more reasons to be obsessed with my job.

I’m very much into user research and I learned a hell of a lot getting to experience what you all experience from the other side of things. I think this gives me even more perspective and widens my understanding of what you need to feel supported as you go on your own courthouse wedding adventure.
