Downtown Tampa and Rusty Pelican micro wedding

gracie may photography reviews

This downtown Tampa courthouse and Rusty Pelican micro wedding at sunset was to. die. for.

Alexis & Bryan got married at the Hillsborough County courthouse in downtown Tampa. We did the usual courthouse and city photos and then they had me for an added two hours to join them at their reception venue, The Rusty Pelican.

When you book your photos with me, you have the option of choosing your editing style. The options are bright/fresh and warm/earthy. Alexis requested both editing styles so they got two galleries from which to choose their favorite shots.

I personally prefer the warm earthy set so those are the ones I’m showing you here today.

We were against the clock big time to get the photos outside of the venue before sunset. My extensive experience in low light came in handy to capture these photos brighter than it actually was because the sun was basically gone by then! But they turned out so romantic and I’m in love with the results.

We also did some direct flash shots outside at the end of the night and I used direct flash during their cake cutting. I love this style of shooting because it looks very 90’s editorial. It’s just so chic.
