New Year’s Orange County Courthouse Elopement

My first wedding of 2024 was a precious courthouse wedding for a young couple from two different worlds.

Christopher & Cadhla (Kay-la) are from two completely different worlds. Christopher is from the Dominican Republic and Cadhla is from Northern Ireland. They met and fell in love when Cadhla started working in a travel exchange program in the hospitality industry.

They had a courthouse wedding because when you get a fiance visa to live in America, you have just 3 months to get married. Just because your wedding has to be small and quick doesn’t mean it can’t look expensive! My goal when working with couples at the courthouse is to make quickie weddings look chic and fabulous.

A big part of creating these images has become spending time on the rooftop of the parking garage which I’m starting to see a lot in other photographers’ work. And I don’t blame them—it’s a stunning view of the courthouse from up high and the light is perfect at all times of the day.

Thank you for having me, Cadhla and Christopher you’re the best and I had so much fun serving you.
